Boston University probes ‘macho’ hockey culture
Feb 23rd
Boston University is forming a task force to study the “culture and climate” of its men’s hockey team. The move follows the arrest of two players — including a Canadian — on charges of assaulting female students this season.
University President Robert Brown says the formation of the task force does not reflect a judgment about the facts in the two cases. But he says the charges raise questions about whether the team’s culture has contributed in some way to the actions of the two players.
